Columbia Park Train to Make Seasonal Debut Open to Public
The J&S Dream Land Express in the Columbia Park in Kennewick Washington,
will be making its seasonal debut tonight to give rides to members of the ARC of the Tri Cities. The J&S train, which has been taken over by the Horse Heaven Hills Kiwanis Club, will be run by several retired train engineers. Train rides will be available to the public tomorrow, May 1 until the end of September. Tomorrow the train rides will begin at 9:30am. Throughout the summer the train will run on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00p to 6:00p with the exception of the annual Family Fishing Pond event when the train will begin running at 9:30a. The fair this year will be August 24th-28th, 2010. Tickets can be from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, you must be present to get tickets. Tickets for purchase include reserved seats for the demolition derby, rodeo, and concerts; the cost on April 24 will be $10 for these seats. The concerts this year at the fair will include The Beach Boys, Rick Springfield, Ted Nugent, Three Dog Night, and Luke Bryan.
