Head out to the TRAC in Pasco Washington on April 9 for the Smash for Cash Demolition Derby. The Smash for Cash will feature a Charity Demo, Tuff Truck, 80s Class, Jump Your Junk, and a Big Car Demolition Derby. You don’t want to miss out on any of this great action!

Charity Demo: The winner will have $1,200 or more donated on their behalf to one of the local Tri Cities military charities (Camp Patriot, US Troop Care Package, ACES or Time of Remembrance).

Tuff Truck: Watch as folks fly around the arena competing for cash.

80s Class: These (almost) stock cars are not made like the oldies, guaranteeing plenty of damage and destruction. For more information on rules and guidelines click here!

"High Class at White Pass" is scheduled for Saturday, April 9th. It is a dinner with wine tasting that will take place in the Sitzmark Lounge (bar) in the White Pass Ski Resort Day Lodge. White Pass Company has graciously offered to donate and prepare the food and it looks like we have at least 4 wineries confirmed at this date to pour wine.  

100% of the proceeds will go to the White Pass Ski Patrol!

This "High Class" event will happen on the same day the Film Festival is scheduled and plan to start right after (approximately 4pm to 6pm). Each participant will receive a great meal and 10 script for wine tastes. They will be able to purchase additional script. Dinner will include appetizer, 2 salad choices, a wonderful (kind of fancy) chicken dish,

This weekend head on over to the TRAC in Pasco Washington for the weekend long Custer’s 12th Annual Spring Arts and Crafts Show. There will be a large variety of crafts displayed for you to buy! Browse through over 150 professional artists and crafters' booths of hand blown glass, beaded jewelry, watercolors, quilted wall hangings, hand thrown pottery, whimsical painted furniture, metal sculpture, fabric santas, photography, woodworking, candles, felted hats and much, much more as you are looking for the perfect gifts for those on your list! Artisty crafty things are wonderful to fund but specialty and gourmet foods can be just as good! Check out the huckleberry products, wheat berry chili, jams, fudges, and other treats to sample and purchase.

If you are thinking about going to to WSU Tri Cities in the fall then head over to the Richland Washington campus March 25 for an in-depth tour. The Discover WSU Tri Cities Tour informs prospective students and their parents about the academic programs available, meetings with professors, a campus tour and a panel discussion with current WSU Tri Cities students. The tour begins at 1:00pm inside the main entrance of campus.

Washington State University Tri Cities is holding their annual Career Fair March 22 at their Richland campus. The Career Fair will be held from 12:30-4:30 in the Consolidated Information Center (CIC).  If you have just graduated, are in the process of changing jobs, or a college student looking for a summer internship then this is the perfect opportunity for you! At the Career Fair you will be able to meet with employers about job openings, internships, volunteer opportunities, and connect with potential employers.

Employers will have the chance to meet with over 1,500 students, alumni and community members who are looking for employment in the Tri Cities Washington Area. On site interview rooms will be made available to employers to conduct

On April 16, come out and run in support of local Autism programs around the Tri Cities Washington area at the Responding to Autism Fun Run. All the proceeds raised at the run will go towards providing resources for families affected by autism; resources such as low cost/free autism screenings.

The Responding to Autism Fun Run will include a 1 mile family friendly, 5K and a 10K. The cost is $20 for the 5K or the 10K; price includes a t-shirt. The 1 mile run is $5 and does not include a t-shirt. The price to buy a t-shirt separately is $15. Next weekend check out the Antique Show at the TRAC in Pasco Washington, March 11-13. The Antique Show features a wide variety of collectibles; in fact their slogan is “If you can imagine it…we have it!” The Tri Cities Antiques Show and Sale is pleased to present you with over 100 spaces filled with antiques and vintage collectibles. There will be a large selection of merchandise including oak furniture, glass, jewelry, vintage linens, stamps, coins, food and beverages and so much more from a variety of local, regional, and Northwest dealers and vendors.

During the week of March 22-30, join together with people and churches from around the Tri Cities community to participate in Sharefest. Sharefest events include a blood drive, workday, and offering. The workday is scheduled for March 26, if you are interested in participating in Sharefest contact your local church or visit the Sharefest Tri Cities website for more information about projects. The Sharefest offering will go towards several local organizations. The money donations will go towards Ignite Youth Mentoring and Teen Challenge, the food donations will go to 2nd Harvest Tri Cities, supply donations will go to the Union Gospel Mission and blood donations will go to the Benton Franklin Red Cross.
