Society of Professional Journalists Accepting Applications for Scholarship
The Society of Professional Journalists is accepting applications for the William O. Douglas Chapter’s Laurie J. Williams $500 scholarship. This scholarship benefits students from eastern Washington or eastern Oregon who are majoring in journalism. Applications are due by May 31 and must include transcripts, a cover letter, three recently published writings, two letters of recommendation from teachers/ professors or editors, three in-depth descriptions of stories that would be pursued if given the chance, an outline, source contacts, and ideas for supporting art or graphics.
