The money that was awarded is stimulus money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that was awarded by Gov. Christine Gregoire and the state Department of Commerce. This refinery that Gen-X will be building is going to use new technology that reduces the cost of manufacture and operation through process simplification and heat integration. This process would be one-tenth of the energy used in a traditional biorefinery plant. Downtown Pasco Washington

Pasco has been making plans to revitalize the downtown area for the past 13 years but nothing has come from these plans. Tri City Washington Home

The Tri Cities housing market is continuing to do better. This past March 272 homes were sold, up 30% from March 2009 when 209 homes sold. The housing market in the Tri Cities is definitely on the upswing, this is especially true when looking at the number of pending sales and the number of sales. This increase in sales and pending sales also shows that the Tri Cities isn’t as affected by foreclosures or distressed properties like
