Columbia Park Train to Make Seasonal Debut Open to Public
The J&S Dream Land Express in the Columbia Park in Kennewick Washington, will be making its seasonal debut tonight to give rides to members of the ARC of the Tri Cities. The J&S train, which has been taken over by the Horse Heaven Hills Kiwanis Club, will be run by several retired train engineers. Train rides will be available to the public tomorrow, May 1 until the end of September. Tomorrow the train rides will begin at 9:30am. Throughout the summer the train will run on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00p to 6:00p with the exception of the annual Family Fishing Pond event when the train will begin running at 9:30a. The 15-minute train rides go around the fishing pond and cut through the park for a run parallel to the Columbia River. The train costs $1 for adults and $0.50 for kids.
