Movies in the Park by Smoovies in Richland Washington
If you are looking for some fun, free things to do with the kids this Summer check out Smoovies’ Free Outdoor Movie in the Park. On selected Fridays and Saturdays at John Dam Plaza and Columbia Park, there will be free family friendly movies. The evening begins at about 7:00 with a performance by a local, pre selected, family friendly entertainer and kids can enjoy a bounce house and a sing and dance time with TJ the Tiger; the movie will begin at sundown. There will be a concession stand with hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, and more. Bring the whole family for an evening of fun and entertainment!

For all the senior citizens out there looking for ways to live a fuller happier life, check out the 3rd Annual Senior Life Show in June. The Senior Life Show is a great place to go for information about local resources benefiting seniors. There will be several seminars given covering topics such as health and wellness, care giving and legal advice. Local musical, dance and other performing groups will be providing the entertainment. Prizes will be given out throughout the event and light refreshments will be available. There is no charge to attend. March for Dimes' Annual March for Babies

The March of Dimes will be having their annual March for Babies, May 7 at Columbia Park in Kennewick. The march is a 6.5 mile walk through Columbia Park along the river. Throughout the 6.5 miles there will be six checkpoints along the way and a hot dog lunch at the end. Things start going at 8:00am when the refreshments and registration begins. At 8:45am there will be warm-ups and announcements with the walk beginning at 9:00am. The purpose of the March of Dimes’ March for Babies is to raise money for research and programs. Under the direction of Todd Westendorf the Chiawana High School Stage Company will be giving several performances of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe; the costumes were put together by Verna Schwilke. Performances will take place this weekend and next on Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm, April 15,16, 22 and 23. Tickets cost $10 for students and $12 for adults, they can be purchased at the Chiawana High School ASB Office Monday-Friday between 7:00am-2:00pm, Mills Music in Kennewick Washington or at the door.

The most recent accomplishment or Top 20 list that the Tri Cities has made its way on to is the American Cowboy Magazine’s Top 20 list of the best places in the west for a cowboy.
