A Quilter’s Journey –Tri Cities Washington Quilters Guild Quilt Show

The Tri-City Quilters’ Guild will be having their 31st annual quilt show entitled “A Quilter’s Journey” on March 21 from 10AM-6PM and 22 from 10AM-5PM at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, WA.

Tri-City Quilters’ Guild’s Mission
Founded in 1982, this non-profit charitable corporation’s mission is to promote the love of quilting through education, fellowship, and sharing quilts with selected human service organizations in the area. They are able to satisfy these purposes through monthly meetings, friendship groups, community service sewing days, and a variety of other events, including the yearly quilt show each March.

The annual Fundraising Breakfast is held each spring to educate the community on the progress of the Cancer Center and to fund the Center’s programs, which are aimed at providing necessary support to cancer patients and their families.

Highlights of the morning will include testimonials from patients, a video presentation, reports from the CEO and Foundation Board, and of course, a delicious breakfast. The event’s generous sponsor, Mission Support Alliance (MSA), makes all these possible.

Benton-Franklin Humane Society 15th Annual Crab Feed

The Benton-Franklin Humane Society will be having its 15th annual crab feed for the benefit of the homeless animals under its care on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 2 to 8PM. This event will take place on the grounds of St. Joseph’s School, at 901 W. 4th Avenue in Kennewick.

It is Dungeness crab season, the perfect time to smash to your heart’s delight, send those mallets flying, and make those crabs a-crying.
