A Quilter’s Journey –Tri Cities Washington Quilters Guild Quilt ShowThe Tri-City Quilters’ Guild will be having their 31st annual quilt show entitled “A Quilter’s Journey” on March 21 from 10AM-6PM and 22 from 10AM-5PM at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, WA.

Tri-City Quilters’ Guild’s Mission
Founded in 1982, this non-profit charitable corporation’s mission is to promote the love of quilting through education, fellowship, and sharing quilts with selected human service organizations in the area. They are able to satisfy these purposes through monthly meetings, friendship groups, community service sewing days, and a variety of other events, including the yearly quilt show each March.

Purpose of the Quilt Show
The quilt show’s purpose is not only to show off each member’s quilts but also to feature quilts from a nationally known guest artist. This year’s guest featured artist is Christine Barnes, a writer, designer, and contemporary quilter specializing in color illusions—transparency, luminosity, luster, and opalescence.

On the show, a featured member’s quilt will also be highlighted. This year, featured member quilter will be Faye Notch, chosen from almost 400 quilt-loving members of the guild.

Quilters Unite
You could join hundreds of quilters on that special day by having your own entry. You may enter your quilt here. Otherwise, you could volunteer to help on the show by signing up here.

There will be a silent auction during the event. You may contact Cheryl Sunderland at (509) 628-1004 if you have donations. Incidentally, quilt artist Sue White’s work, “Wine Country Dream”, based on a photograph from regional photographer John Clement, will be raffled off on the second day of the event, March 22. So if you want to win this lovely quilt, buy your tickets now from members of the TCQG for only $1.00. For more information, you may visit Tri-City Quilters' Guild’s website.
