On Thursday, March 20, from 1-3PM, Bethel Church will present The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease, an educational workshop co-sponsored by Kadlec Neurological Resource Center and the Alzheimer’s Association. There will also be an evening session on the same day, from 6-8PM.
Alarming Statistics for Alzheimer’s Disease
People affected by Alzheimer’s disease are growing in numbers. In fact, in March of last year, the National Vital Statistics System released data showing Washington State as having the highest mortality rate for Alzheimer’s disease in the U.S. At 46.3 deaths per 100,000 people, the state’s death rate for the year 2010 far exceeded the national rate of 25.1…
