The City of Pasco is once again teaming up with Lampson International for the 32nd Annual Cable Bridge Run. I don’t know about you, but I have been looking forward to participating in the 10K portion of this run. For the last several months my dad and I have gone out running along the Columbia River in Kennewick and Pasco Washington. If you aren’t quite ready for a 10K quite yet, don’t sweat it there is also a 5K run and a 1 mile fun run. A timing chip will be used by all participants to track finish times and paces.

No matter which race you choose to participate in the cost is $15 if you would also like a shirt or if you choose to opt out of the shirt then the fee goes down to $10 through December 13. Registration turned in between December 14-17…

On December 14 come out to Kennewick High School for the 5th Annual Kennewick Police Officers vs. Kennewick Firefighters Charity Basketball Event, tip off will take place at 7:00pm. Tri Cities Washington is home to a large and diverse population of artists. During the weekend of November 13-14 14 of our local artists are opening their studios for you during the Annual Tri Cities' Artists Open Studio Tour. Come and visit each of the artists in their studio and watch them paint, create pottery, sculpt, make jewelry, fiber art, or glass art. These fourteen artists will be located in eleven studios all around the Tri Cities. During both days of the tour the selected studios will be open from 11:00am to 4:00pm. This weekend and next weekend Columbia Basin College’s theatre department will be performing a rendition of George Orwell’s 1984. Performances will take place in the CBC theatre in Pasco Washington on November 13-14 and 19-20. Each play will begin promptly at 7:30pm. There will be great food, exciting games, tons of fun dancing, and overall just a great evening! Ski season is just around the corner and with that comes the annual ski and snowboard swaps. One of our local ski resorts, White Pass Ski Resort, is getting close to opening the slopes for the weekend, but not before the Volunteer White Pass Ski Patrol holds their annual White Pass Ski & Snowboard Swap in Yakima Washington. This annual ski swap, which has been going on for over 40 years now, features new and used snowboards, shaped skis, traditional skis, and a variety of new and used clothing. The ski swap will take place on Saturday, November 6 from 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday, November 7 from 10:00am-3:00pm at the Yakima Fairgrounds.
