The Richland Public Library of Richland Washington hosts a variety of events for the community and most of these events are free or very reasonably priced. During the month of November, there are a wide variety of family friendly events including a few presentations on Native American culture, movie nights, a puppet show, and more!
Puppet Show by WSU Tri Cities’ Students
On November 10, beginning at 1:30pm students from the Arts in Education class at WSU Tri Cities will be presenting four different puppet shows for children at the story circle. There is no charge.
There is a family movie night coming up on Thursday, November 4 where Toy Story 3 will be shown. Another one will take place on November 19 with a showing of Karate Kid. On November 9 there will be a showing of Bandslam for teenagers. Then another teen movie night is scheduled for November 23 with a showing of The Last Airbender. Each of these movies will being at 6:30pm at theRichland Public Library in Richland Washington. There is no charge.
Native American Presentations for American Indian Heritage Month
In the Doris Roberts Gallery at the library on November 6, come take part in the Native American Art, Crafts and Culture event. This event will begin at 10:00am and go until 3:00pm. There will be hands on activities, displays, and Native Americans from local tribes to talk about their culture and the various arts and crafts on display. There will also be a Native American dance demonstration and storytelling. The Columbia river Chapter of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society has planned this event.
On November 9, John Cox, a storyteller, will share artifacts, anecdotes, and stories of many native tribes. Cox will begin at 3:45pm and go until 5:00pm at the library’s story circle. There is no charge.
