2021 Sunset Garden's 49th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony in Richland Washington | Tri-Cities Memorial Day
In 2020, through a speech delivered over the radio by James Mattis, Former Defense Secretary, people were allowed to drive along the gardens to take part in the ceremony from their respective vehicles. The organizers announced that this year's ceremony will be held in a normal manner featuring an outdoor ceremony by the lake and 1,096-flag raise.
The General Manager of Sunset Garden's Cemetery, Pat Hollick, encourages people to take part in the event and enjoy it considering it's like Richland's Christmas Day when people can let inspiring happiness emanate.
Sunset Garden's Cemetery Annual Memorial Day will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, 31st. Part of the event will be a speech from Brad Klippert, Washington State Representative.
Free ice cream and hot dogs will be given out after the ceremony. Sunset Gardens is located at 915 Bypass Hwy, Richland, WA 99352
