In 2020, through a speech delivered over the radio by James Mattis, Former Defense Secretary, people were allowed to drive along the gardens to take part in the ceremony from their respective vehicles. The organizers announced that this year's ceremony will be held in a normal manner featuring an outdoor ceremony by the lake and 1,096-flag raise.

The General Manager of Sunset Garden's Cemetery, Pat Hollick, encourages people to take part in the event and enjoy it considering it's like Richland's Christmas Day when people can let inspiring happiness emanate.

According to the Tumbleweed Music Festival website, so far the 2021 festival will be virtual, similar to last year's festival.  However, stay tuned as Governor Inslee has announced the full reopening of Washington State by June 30th.

Well, we are excited that the 2021 Tumbleweeds Music Festival is not canceled. We'll stay tuned also with the anticipation we might once again bring our kiddos and pets to the festival, wherever it might be...
