The Reach: Wallula Gap: Bottleneck For The Ice Age Floods Hiking Tour Richland, WashingtonOn Saturday, October 3 join geologist – author Bruce Bjornstad on a bus ride to Wallula Gap and begin hiking a 4-5 miles moderate to strenuous terrain of the flood sculpted western side of the hasty Wallula Gap with an elevation gain of 800 feet.

About Bruce Bjornsad
Bruce is a Geologist – author specializing in sedimentology, stratigraphy, geomorphology, hydrogeology, environmental geology and a geoscience writer.  He is the former Senior Research Scientist of Battelle (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) from 1989 to 2014 and advanced Geologist of Rockwell Hanford Operations from 1981 to 1987. Bruce Bjornstad authored the “ On the Trail of the Ice Age Floods “ .

The Reach is located at 1943 Columbia Park Trail Richland, Washington. The event will start at 9:00 in the morning and will last until 4:00 in the afternoon. Tour admission is at $65 including the tour guide, bus ride and sack lunch.
