On Saturday, May 2 come to the Mid-Century Modern House Tour starting at Leslie Groves Park at Newcomer Street Entrance located at the East end of Newcomer Street Richland , Washington. Tour will be from 10:00 in the morning until 12:00 noon. Admission is free.
About the Tour
While many people are familiar with Richland's alphabet houses, fewer people realize that the city is also home to a significant number of mid-century modern houses. This volunteer-led walk will wander through north Richland looking at some of the more interesting examples of this international style. Approximately 3 miles.

The Othello Sandhill Crane Festival started in 1998. The Greater Othello Chamber of Commerce and the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge (U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service) sponsors this annual festival. Through the collective efforts of committee members, the festival is carefully planned, organized and conducted. The Sandhill Crane Festival Committee includes Grant Conservation District staff, Othello citizens, and residents from the neighboring Columbia Basin communities of Ephrata, Moses Lake, and Royal City.
