National Wildlife Refuge Week 2014 In Richland, WashingtonFrom Tuesday, October 14 until Friday, October 17 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife is teaming with the Reach Center located at 1943 Columbia Park Trail in Richland, for the National Wildlife Refuge Week 2014 featuring the Hanford Reach National Monument.

Details of the Event
Professional photographer John Clement will lead a field trip to photograph the fall landscapes of the monument. Classes will on Tuesday, October 14 from 6 to 8 in the evening while the field trip will be on Friday, October 17 from 7 in the morning until 12 noon . Admission fee is $45.

Annual Pioneer Fall Festival At The City Of Waitsburg WashingtonLocated one hour from the Tri-Cities on the way to Dayton, the City of Waitsburg will be having their annual Pioneer Fall Festival on Sunday, September 21 starting 11:00 in the morning with a nondenominational church service at the museum, followed by introduction of the Pioneer of the Year.

Hanford Reach Interpretive Center Everyone is invited on Saturday, September 13 at the Hanford Reach Interpretive Center for the "Hops to Bottle" tours from 10:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon.

About "Hops to Bottle"
The event puts beer into contest as participants will be touring hop yards (fields), check out hop drying plant, and Yakima Chief where they transform hops to pellets/oils. The Sandhill Crane Festival, Othello, WashingtonThe Othello Sandhill Crane Festival started in 1998. The Greater Othello Chamber of Commerce and the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge (U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service) sponsors this annual festival.
