Tickets for the Mid Columbia Ballet’s most popular performance, The Nutcracker will be going on sale November 1!  There will be several showings in December. Showings will be December 10 at 7:00pm, December 11 at 2:00pm and again at 7:00pm, and December 12 at 2:00pm. All performances take place at the Richland High School Auditorium in Richland Washington. To buy tickets, visit the Mid Columbia Ballet website or call 509.946.5417 after November 1. Tickets cost $22 for adults, $17 for students and seniors, and $12 for children 12 and under.

Beginning today in Pasco Washington is the annual Heritage Days at Sacajawea State Park. Heritage Days is presented by the Mid-Columbia Traditional Arts and Music Association and the Wildhorse Foundation. This is a weekend long event that begins today, September 24 at 9:00am-3:00pm, and goes through Sunday. Saturday the event will begin at 10:00am and go until 5:00pm, Sunday the event will begin at 10:00am and go until 3:00pm.

The weekend will be full of many activities; Friday is devoted to school visits but is still open to the public. The Mid Columbia Mastersingers will be performing on Friday, September 24, at the Central United Protestant Church in Richland Washington. The group will be performing Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto Number 2 in F major, his Cantata “Es ist nichts Gesundes an meinem Leibe” BWV 25, as well as Vivaldi’s Gloria in D major. This Mastersingers event will feature internationally-acclaimed early music soprano Julianne Baird and early music specialist Kraig Scott on harpsichord.
