During the week of March 22-30, join together with people and churches from around the Tri Cities community to participate in Sharefest. Sharefest events include a blood drive, workday, and offering. The workday is scheduled for March 26, if you are interested in participating in Sharefest contact your local church or visit the Sharefest Tri Cities website for more information about projects. The Sharefest offering will go towards several local organizations. The money donations will go towards Ignite Youth Mentoring and Teen Challenge, the food donations will go to 2nd Harvest Tri Cities, supply donations will go to the Union Gospel Mission and blood donations will go to the Benton Franklin Red Cross.
The blood drive will take place on Tuesday, March 22 from 1:00pm-6:00pm at Bethel West Pasco in the Broadmoor Outlet Mall, South Hills Church, and Faith Assembly. Friday March 25 from 2:00pm-7:00pm at Central Church in Richland, Thursday March 29 from 2:00pm-7:00pm at Columbia Community Church and Wednesday, March 30 form 1:00pm-6:00pm at Bethel Church in Richland.
In 1998 Sharefest was the vision of a group of pastors in Central Arkansas who wanted to find a way for the church to demonstrate with their actions God’s love for his people. In November of 1999 the first Sharefest was a transforming moment. Many area pastors stood before the 6,000 people that had gathered for to go out into the community sharing God’s love. Sharefest has spread to Cities all across the country as an event for churches, schools, community leaders and nonprofit organizations to come together and help to make the community a better place.
