"High Class at White Pass" is scheduled for Saturday, April 9th. It is a dinner with wine tasting that will take place in the Sitzmark Lounge (bar) in the White Pass Ski Resort Day Lodge. White Pass Company has graciously offered to donate and prepare the food and it looks like we have at least 4 wineries confirmed at this date to pour wine.  

100% of the proceeds will go to the White Pass Ski Patrol!

On April 16, come out and run in support of local Autism programs around the Tri Cities Washington area at the Responding to Autism Fun Run. All the proceeds raised at the run will go towards providing resources for families affected by autism; resources such as low cost/free autism screenings.

The Responding to Autism Fun Run will include a 1 mile family friendly, 5K and a 10K. The cost is $20 for the 5K or the 10K; price includes a t-shirt. The Richland High School drama department has been hard at week working on their performance of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical, "Anything Goes". Anything Goes takes place on a cruise ship traveling from London to New York. Before the ship’s departure Billy Crocker manages to sneak aboard the ship in the hopes of winning the affections of heiress, Hope Harcourt. Unfortunately for Crocker, Hope is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Crocker finds help to woo Hope in the form nightclub singer, Reno Sweeney and mobster, Moonface Martin. “The madcap shenanigans that happen along the way, as well as the nostalgic music, should keep the audience captivated.”

On Monday, February 28 at 7:00pm Mid Columbia Library will be hosting the Community Science and Technology Seminar series. This next seminar will be given by Dr. Glen Fryxell on nanomaterials. Dr. Fryxell will be discussing what nanomaterials are and in what ways they can be beneficial or harmful. Dr. Fryxell has been working with nanostructure materials for the last 22 years at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. While working with these materials Fryxell also has spent time looking into its uses for environmental applications like sequestration of toxic heacy metals from industrial streams and groundwater. In 2009 Dr. Fryxell was named a Battelle Distinguished Inventor, he is named as inventor of 16 US Patents. There is no cost to attend this event.…
