Lend Me a Tenor presented by the Valley Theater CompanyHere’s something to enjoy this Friday night, February 7 at 7:30PM. The Valley Theater Company will be presenting the hilarious adult comedy “Lend Me a Tenor” for four performances at the Princess Theater in Prosser, Wa. Cyndil Davis and Rick James, with Kacie Askew as assistant, direct the play. Other show dates are February 8, 14, and 15.

One of literature’s greatest works, by no less than the greatest English writer of all time, William Shakespeare, will be given a 20th century approach by the drama students of the Academy of Children’s Theatre.

Shakespeare for the 20th Century
ACT’s production will take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, setting it in 1967 during San Francisco’s Summer of Love. The story will follow the adventures of a spirited but mischievous fairy, Puck, who pulls on all sorts of hilarious antics that intentionally and unintentionally complicate the other characters, which include Oberon, Titania, Hermia, Helena, Lysander, Demetrius, Egeus, Theseus, Hippolyta and Bottom.

The Columbia Basin College Arts and Humanities Department is pleased to present as part of their Summer Showcase, a wonderful musical comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone. This musical comedy will be performed by theatre students and faculty at the CBC Theatre in Pasco Washington. Showings will be on August 13, 14, 17, 19, 20, 21 at 7:30pm and August 15 and 22 at 2:00pm. Tickets cost $17 for adults and $15 for students and seniors; these can be purchased at Shelby’s Floral in Kennewick, Adventure Underground Bookstore in Richland, The CBC Performing Arts Office on the Pasco Campus, and at the door. The Drowsy Chaperone is rated G/PG.
