Five-piece band, Carbon Leaf, who plays its own style of Celtic-southern-roots rock will be at the Main Street Studio in Walla Walla, Washington on Monday, September 21 from 7:00 to 10:00 in the evening.
About Carbon Leaf
The band members are from Richmond, Virginia, United States known for their signature indie-rock blend of Celtic, Appalachian, folk, and country into a rousing new brand of music best described as ‘ether-electrified porch music. They are about to celebrate their 20th year of recording and touring.
The five-man band's unfaltering arrangement of guitar, bass, drums, and mandolin is rounded out with more interesting instruments, like the bouzouki, fiddle, accordion and penny whistle, all tied together by lead singer Barry Privett's bold, straightforward baritone.
The band is composed of Barry Privett on vocals, penny whistle, acoustic guitar and bagpipes; Terry Clark on electric guitar, acoustic guitars and vocals; Carter Gravatt on vocals, acoustic, electric mandolin, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, 12 string guitar, lap steel, bouzouki, bodhran, loops, effects, violin/fiddle and hurdy-gurdy; Jason Neal on drums and percussion; and Jon Markel on electric bass and upright bass.Colleen D.
