Last weekend Colleen and I sat in an open house. Something we rarely do, but the seller asked and since last weekend was "National Open House Weekend" we thought, "What the heck, why not!" Well, we promoted the heck out of it, posted all sorts of open house signs in all the busy intersections leading to the house, and of course hoped the National Open House Weekend would be the finishing touch to our open house marketing efforts. The Pacific Northwest Mustang Club will be hosting the 31st Annual Show and Shine Car Show this weekend in Richland Washington. The Show and Shine Car Show is the Northwest's finest Mustang car show, this year they are expecting over 140 mustangs. On Saturday, May 28, things will get rolling in the O'Reilly Auto Parts and Dairy Queen Chill & Grill parking lot in Richland. At 11:30am there will be a mini cruise and lunch, a little later on Saturday get a sneak peak at the informal Show & Shine beginning at 5:30pm.

The Senior Life Show is a great place to go for information about local resources benefiting seniors. On May 21 head over to Preston Premium Wines for the Stomp Out Cancer Event. Stomp Out Cancer is a fundraising event hosted by Preston Premium Wines, Team Stomp IT and Gary’s Gang to benefit the American Cancer Society. There will be dinner, dancing, music and wine for all to enjoy. You will also be able to join in on some fun games as well as participate in live and silent auctions to benefit the American Cancer Society. Stomp Out Cancer will take place at Preston Premium Wines in Pasco Washington from 4:00pm-10:00pm on May 21.

Tickets can be purchased at either the Bank of Whitman in Pasco Washington or the American Cancer Society in Kennewick Washington. The price of tickets is $65 for a couple or $250 for a table of 8.

Coming up on May 28 the Auction of Washington Wines will be hosting Revelry on Red Mountain. Revelry on Red Mountain will take place at Col Solare Red Mountain Winery and Estate Vineyard in Benton City Washington beginning at 6:00pm. This event will feature 20 local winemakers with a culinary feast put together by Chef Frank Magana of Picazo 7Seventeen. Those who attend will enjoy tasting local wines and cooking and of course gorgeous views of Red Mountain. A silent and live auction will take place to benefit the Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Washington Wine Education Foundation, so bring your checkbooks.
