The Arlington based council measures the relative price levels of consumer goods and services nationwide. The Council for Community and Economic Research gets the information about price data quarterly from volunteers in different areas and analyzes the prices along with population data to determine the average cost.

The Tri Cities has proven itself worthy throughout the down economy as being able to support itself and remain stable. Throughout the summer there are many festivals and events at different parks that appeal to a variety of interests such as music festivals, art displays, car shows, medieval festivals, and more.
