On Thursday, June 3, the Tri Cities Legislative Council will be holding their annual Tri Cities Legislative Reception. The reception will take place at the Sandberg Event Center in West Richland, Washington from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. The purpose of this reception is the provide a way for the community to thank our area’s elected officials. Hors d’oeuvres and local wines will be provided for those in attendance. There will be a $25 cost per person which must be turned in along with registration by May 28. RSVP by calling 509.735.1000 or by emailing Jane Foreman. jforeman@tridec.org.

Richland Wa is a thriving and vital part of the Washington Wines Region. The wineries are a lovely way to spend a leisurely Sunday drive, or to just take some time out from the rat race for yourself.

And what better way to get to know an area before you move there, or as a new arrival?

The wine industry in Washington has an international reputation for its quality wines. As a state production has doubled over the past decade, and including the Richland Wa area, wineries are growing in number across the region.

Richland's superb weather provides the long hot days of summer combined with cool evenings that result in robust Merlots and Cabernet Sauvignons. There are also numerous popular white wines, such as chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.
