For all the senior citizens out there looking for ways to live a fuller happier life, check out the 3rd Annual Senior Life Show in June. The Senior Life Show is a great place to go for information about local resources benefiting seniors. There will be several seminars given covering topics such as health and wellness, care giving and legal advice. Local musical, dance and other performing groups will be providing the entertainment. Prizes will be given out throughout the event and light refreshments will be available. There is no charge to attend. The Senior Life Show takes place at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick Washington on June 17 from 10:00am-4:00pm. Hope to see you there!

The Columbia Basin College Theatre Department is proud to present The Last Five Years, a musical by Jason Robert Brown. Under the direction of Ginny Quinley, The Last Five years stars Heather Manley and Greg Rose; music was directed by Justin Raffa. The show will take place May 12, 13, and 14 at 7:30pm and May 15 at 2:00pm. All show will take place at the CBC Theatre in Pasco Washington. Tickets cost $12 for adults and $10 for students.

The Last Five Years is a one act musical following the lives of a married couple, novelist Jamie Wellerstein and actress Cathy Hyatt. This well-loved story has something in it for everyone, the engaging story follows is centered around Pippi Longstocking who is quite the prankster! Under the direction of Todd Westendorf the Chiawana High School Stage Company will be giving several performances of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe; the costumes were put together by Verna Schwilke. Performances will take place this weekend and next on Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm, April 15,16, 22 and 23. Tickets cost $10 for students and $12 for adults, they can be purchased at the Chiawana High School ASB Office Monday-Friday between 7:00am-2:00pm, Mills Music in Kennewick Washington or at the door.

The Richland High School drama department has been hard at week working on their performance of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical, "Anything Goes". Anything Goes takes place on a cruise ship traveling from London to New York. Before the ship’s departure Billy Crocker manages to sneak aboard the ship in the hopes of winning the affections of heiress, Hope Harcourt. Unfortunately for Crocker, Hope is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Crocker finds help to woo Hope in the form nightclub singer, Reno Sweeney and mobster, Moonface Martin. “The madcap shenanigans that happen along the way, as well as the nostalgic music, should keep the audience captivated.”

Many dream of begin able to have a chance to go to New York for a Broadway performance but can never make it work. Well Broadway is coming to you, here in the Tri Cities Washington. Broadway and More have been performing various shows for a few years now. This year’s season will begin with a one night performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s first musical, Oklahoma. The show will take place on Thursday, October 7 at 7:00pm at the new Windermere Theatre in the Kennewick Washington Toyota Center. The Columbia Basin College Arts and Humanities Department is pleased to present as part of their Summer Showcase, a wonderful musical comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone. This musical comedy will be performed by theatre students and faculty at the CBC Theatre in Pasco Washington. Showings will be on August 13, 14, 17, 19, 20, 21 at 7:30pm and August 15 and 22 at 2:00pm.
