24th Annual MLK Bell Ringing Columbia Basin College Pasco, WashingtonOn Monday, January 19 everyone is invited to the Columbia Basin College located in 2600 N. 20th Pasco, Washington for the 24th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Bell-ringing ceremony from 12:00 noon until 2:00 in the afternoon. This event is free to the public.

Details of the Event
The 24th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Bell-ringing ceremony begins at the King statue on the CBC Pasco campus. This year’s event will include the announcement of the MLK Spirit Award winner. What's more, Christopher Turner will deliver the keynote address, the Coronation of Choirs will perform, and Miss Juneteenth, Rachel Moore, will perform a dance.

Following the bell-ringing at the King statue and opening remarks, the ceremony will move into the nearby Gjerde Center…

The Multicultural Club at Washington State University Tri Cities presents the 3rd Annual Martin Luther King Jr. event. The event, which will occur January 14, features an inter-generational panel at 6:30pm to discuss civil rights accomplishments and current challenges. Panelists will include Dr. Novella N. Bridges, a senior research chemist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory; Zixu Ha, the ASWSU Tri Cities President; and Jack Hamann, author of On American Soil: How Justice Became a Casualty of WWII. The first 350 guests in the door will receive a free sit down dinner. Following the panel and dinner at 8:00pm, Larry Fuller will be doing a Jazz performance with guest singer, Shilah Phillips.
