The 35th Annual Cavalcade of Bands celebration will focus on educating the music youth of the northwest. First Annual Tri- Art For Giving Progressive Dinner In Richland, WA

The Leadership Tri-Cities Class XX has joined with the Arts Foundation of the Mid-Columbia to create the first annual Tri-Art for giving community art contest and fundraiser. A portion of ticket sales support Tri ART for Giving and Arts Foundation of the Mid-Columbia.

Tattoo Convention At Three Rivers Convention Center Kennewick, WA 2015

I Love to Read Poster Contest at Richland Public Library

The RSC-AmeriCoprs will be holding the 9th Annual “I Love to Read” Poster Contest during their “Go WILD for Reading” literacy event. The said event will take place at the Richland Public Library on April 1. 

Who Can Join 
Children from K to 5th grade are encouraged to participate. So if you have a talented young artist in your family, have them create a poster with “I Love to Read” as underlying theme. All poster entries must be submitted by the child himself (accompanied by a guardian, of course) at the libraries in Pasco, Keewaydin, Union Street, West Richland, and Benton City Mid-Columbia. Of course, participants can also submit their posters at the Richland Public Library from April 1-3 between 12:30 and 4:15PM. The event is free.

First Ever Tattoo Convention in Tri-Cities Washington

This weekend the Tri Cities will be home to the first annual Tattoo Convention at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick Washington. The convention will be a weekend event beginning Saturday, September 25, from 11:00am to 10:00pm and going through Sunday from 11:00am to 6:00pm. There will be many seminars, contests, vendors, and artists for you to enjoy and browse through. Dayton Washington Holds Historic Tour and Art Walk

If you are looking for something to do Saturday, October 2, then head on down to Dayton Washington for Dayton on Tour. If you head over then you will not be lacking for things to do. To start things off there will be an art walk down Main Street beginning at 10:00am and lasting through 4:00pm. First Annual Painted Chairs Contest and Live Auction in Kennewick

The Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership will be hosting the first ever annual Painted Chair contest in the Tri Cities on July 19. Chairs may range in style, it could be a bench, kitchen chair, lawn chair, or any other sort of seat. Each contestant must also have a vote box which needs to be decorated and have a slot at the top for vote slips to slide through. Contestants must provide their own chair, decorations, and vote box. Participants in the Painted Chair contest must fill out an entry form and pay $10. Chairs will displayed at Flag Plaza on the corner of Kennewick Avenue and Auburn Street in Kennewick Washington.
