The Rude Mechanicals will feature Othello on January 28, 2016 at The Uptown Theatre, located at 1300 Jadwin Ave., Richland, WA. Othello will start at 7:00 p.m. Groundling seat tickets are $5 each. General Admission costs $18, but for students, seniors, military and educators, it can be purchased for only $15. For Royal Gallery, admission costs $50. Add $10 for backstage pass. Othello is a playwright by William Shakespeare which is said to be written some time in 1603. The tale was adapted from a Boccaccio disciple, Cinthio's Un Capitano. English was the original language used for Othello. On November 1, 1604, Othello was first performed. Iago, Cassio, Roderigo, Desdemonia and Emilia are some of Othello's characters. The performance of the actors who will play the roles of these characters are truly a must-see!
