First Night Tri-Cities is a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration of the New Year held each year on December 31 at the Gesa Carousel of Dreams in Kennewick.
After taking a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, First Night 
Tri-Cities is excited to once again offer carousel rides, magic shows, inflatables, face painting and of course a dazzling fireworks show.
The First Night Tri-Cities event is interactive and there is something for all ages. Go through a giant inflatable obstacle course. Join the hypnosis show. We have two dogs and part of our day always includes walking our dogs, and oftentimes, twice a day. What follows is a list of places we walk our dogs and mostly are off-leash. Keep in mind, there are leash laws, so we are not advocating violating any leash laws. In fact, here is an example of our Washinton State's leash law: WAC 352-32-060. Labor Day weekend, Howard Amon Park in Richland will host the Tumbleweed Music Festival. 3 days of great acoustic music on the banks of the Columbia River. This year's theme is "Dear Friends." All events are free except for the Saturday Evening Concert and Sunday Contra Dance Fundraisers. Five outdoor stages featuring 99+ different acts, an open mic stage, an indoor dance floor, 30+ workshops, food & craft vendors, and online performance & workshops.
