Mayumi Tsutakawa, the presenter of the event, is the daughter of George Tsutakawa, a renowned painter, fountain designer, teacher, and sculptor. In this event, Mayumi will discuss how the Japanese community survived injustice and racism during the World War II. Learn what life has been with the Japanese immigrants when the Executive Order 9066 was implemented.
The presentation is in time for the 75th anniversary of Executive Order 9066 which is happening this year. Learn more about the history and be inspired as Mayumi Tsutakawa shares her family's story.
