The Arc of Tri Cities will honor citizens with disabilities through a public rally. The event will be called March for Respect, and it will take place in Richland, Wa at the John Dam Plaza on March 22, from 12 to 1:30PM.
The Arc of Tri Cities Mission
Established in 1954, the Arc of Tri Cities has been a provider of services to individuals with intellectual and development disabilities in the Benton and Franklin Counties. For the past 60 years, this educational facility and sports club has been offering 14 different services in the area and is serving more than 1,400 individuals each year.
The Arc of Tri Cities’ mission and vision is simple – “To provide leadership, advocacy, and opportunities that enable persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families to enhance the quality of their lives. To this end, all of our services help to advance the skill levels of our participants: promote inclusion, integration, and socialization, and encourage independence.”
March for Respect
On this note, you are all invited to join the public rally on March 22. There will be entertainment, speeches, and a 3/4 mile walk. There will be free hotdogs and soda from 12 noon to 12:45PM. Normal signups will start at noon on the day of the event, but you may pre-register your group online by visiting the Arc of Tri Cities’ website.
