Kamiakin H.S. Drama Club Presents On Friday, November 14 Kamiakin High School Drama invites everyone as they present “The Witch of Blackbird Pond” at the Kamiakin High School Auditorium 600 N. Arthur Street Kennewick, Washington. Show starts at 7:00 in the evening.

Details of the Event
Adapted from the novel by Elizabeth George Speare, The Witch of Blackbird Pond will be presented by the Kamiakin High School's BraveStage Production. The play will be directed by Chris Hamilton and opens on November 14 with additional performances on Saturday, November 15 at 2:oo in the afternoon, on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 2 at 7:00 in the evening.

The Witch of Blackbird Pond deals with intolerance and misunderstanding in Puritan New England. Young Kit Tyler runs afoul of authorities and popular beliefs when she moves from Barbados to Massachusetts. What seems to her to be innocent free expression, turns ugly when she befriends an older Quaker woman. The script was originally commissioned and produced by the Seattle Children's Theatre.

The BraveStage Production Company is known for its recent productions of Les Miserables, Up the Down Staircase and Macbeth. It offers 2 full productions during the school year, as well as student-directed one acts and performances by the student improv club - The Improv-ables.
