Mardi Gras is just around the corner and the Hanford Reach has sent out their save the date! Mark your calendar for Tuesday, March 8, 5:30pm-9:00pm for the 3rd annual Mardi Gras auction at the Country Gentleman. This auction will feature a diverse selection of auction items, distinctive art by local artists, Cajun style cooking, live music, and dancing. Doors open at 5:30 pm, Cocktail hour and the Silent Auction will take place at 6:00pm followed by dinner, a live auction and dessert dash at 7:00pm. Tickets cost $65 per person or $500 for a table of 8. Buy your tickets now, they sell fast! Participating in this annual auction is a great opportunity to support a unique organization in the Mid-Columbia, the Hanford Reach.
The Hanford Reach has not yet been built due to a change in the original plans, but it is hoped that building will soon start. The reach was created with the purpose of educating the community about this place many call home; a place that will have a lasting impact on generations of citizens. It is hoped that through the reach people will be able to come together in celebration of the land, rivers, and ideas that have shaped are history and is currently shaping our future.
