2016 Citizens' Academy by the Richland Police DepartmentThere are still a few openings for the 2016 Citizens Academy hosted by the Richland Police Department. Academy Dates
Every Tuesday evening from January 5, 2016 through March 15, 2016.

Program Purpose
The Citizens' Academy, provided by the Richland Police Department, runs from January to March every year. The academy provides information about the operation and programs of the police department and the local criminal justice system.

Attending the Academy
The Academy will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm at the Richland Police Station. On the evenings the jail and emergency communications center are visited, class will begin at 6:30 pm. The academy will consist of 12 sessions, and there is no cost to attend. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the material presented, persons wishing to attend will have to successfully pass a limited background check.
