The fifth annual Car and Bike Show will be April 24 from 9:00a – 3:00p at Kiona Benton Middle School. Sponsored by the Economic Development Center and the Chamber of Benton City, this event has helped support local youth groups such as the Boys and Girls Club, Grid Kids, 4-H, and Boy Scouts. RLOC to Begin Season with Miss Saigon

The Richland Light Opera Company is beginning their 2010 season with Miss Saigon. Miss Saigon is a story similar to Madame Butterfly. The story takes place in Vietnam during the war. One of the main characters, Chris is a sympathetic, tortured figure, in love with Kim. He must abandon her when he feels there is no hope in going to her when Vietnam is closed off to Americans. This story focuses on the lives of six people, woven intricately together in a setting of extraordinary circumstances.

Show times are:
Saturday, April 3 at 8:00p – free admittance for all Vietnam veterans and Vietnamese Refugees
Wednesday, April 7 at 7:00p – students are free with valid student ID
Friday, April 9 at 8:00p

The Miss Tri Cities Scholarship program is looking for applicants to participate in the 2010 Miss Tri Cities and Outstanding Teen pageants. For applicants to be accepted for the Miss Tri Cities pageant they must be between the ages of 17 and 24; graduating high school seniors are included. To participate in the Miss Tri Cities Outstanding Teen Pageant applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 17; graduating high school seniors not included. Applications may be filled out and submitted online at the Miss Tri Cities website; they must be filled out and submitted no later than Friday. For more information call 509.627.5622.
