RLOC to Begin Season with Miss Saigon

The Richland Light Opera Company is beginning their 2010 season with Miss Saigon. Miss Saigon is a story similar to Madame Butterfly. The story takes place in Vietnam during the war. One of the main characters, Chris is a sympathetic, tortured figure, in love with Kim. He must abandon her when he feels there is no hope in going to her when Vietnam is closed off to Americans. This story focuses on the lives of six people, woven intricately together in a setting of extraordinary circumstances.

Show times are:
Saturday, April 3 at 8:00p – free admittance for all Vietnam veterans and Vietnamese Refugees
Wednesday, April 7 at 7:00p – students are free with valid student ID
Friday, April 9 at 8:00p
Saturday, April 10 at 8:00p
Sunday, April 11 at 2:00p

All shows will be held at the Richland High School Auditorium. Tickets cost $20 for adults, $18 for students and seniors; reserved seating is available for a $5 charge. Tickets are available for purchase at the Tri Cities Academy of Ballet, JD ’s Time Center, at the door, or by visiting the Richland Light Opera company’s website.
