The Tri-Cities Washington community offers many different events to honor our Veterans on and around Veteran’s Day. The local chambers of commerce, university, college, and the various community organizations put on different events to honor these men and women. More events will be added as they are announced in the community.

Washington State University Tri-Cities’ Smash and Slice
On October 19 WSU Tri-Cities will be having a Smash and Bash from 11:00am to 3:00pm in the WEST/BSEL parking lot. There will be a donated car for ticket holders to smash and pizza will be included in the ticket price. Tickets will be sold in 4 different denominations, for $4 you can hit the car three times and receive one slice of pizza; for $7 you can hit the car eight times and receive two slices of pizza: then for $10 you can hit the car ten times and receive three slices of pizza; and for $1 you can get an extra hit on the car. Tickets will be sold to anyone; sales will take place at the student accounts window in the east building. All proceeds will go to support the WSU Tri-Cities Veterans Club. American Legion Riders Raffle
The American Legion Riders are currently selling tickets for a red 2009 Yamaha Raider. Tickets cost $20 each and can be purchased by contacting the American Legion Riders by sending an email to the contact person or to the ALR group or by calling 509.947.4200. The raffle will take place at the American Legion Hall Post 34 in Pasco Washington on November 11 at 3:00pm. All proceeds go to the Legacy Scholarship Fund.

Regional Veterans Day Parade
For many years, the West Richland Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted the Regional Veterans Day Parade and this year is no exception. November 2 come on out to West Richland Washington for this annual event; things will get rolling at 9:30am on West Van Giesen.
