About Phillip Phillips
Phillip LaDon Phillips, Jr. was born in Albany, Georgia, and moved to Leesburg, Georgia when he was twelve. He is an American singer-songwriter who won the eleventh season of American Idol on May 23, 2012. Phillips started playing music, particularly the guitar when he was 14. Phillips’ coronation song "Home", released after his win, became the bestselling of all coronation songs. Before to trying out for American Idol, he also auditioned on the second season of America's Got Talent but did not make it to its finals.
