The Pasco School District of Pasco Washington was the first official school district in the state of Washington. There are 19 schools in the Pasco School District; one early learning center, 11 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 2 high schools, and 1 alternative middle and secondary school, and the State's first science, technology, engineering, and math high school – Delta. The district is currently serving around 14,000 students, 73% are minorities and 34% are learning English as their second language. Every year since 2000 there have been on average 525 additional students enrolled each year.
