Well, they did it again, Kiplinger just released another "Top 10"Âť list of best places to raise kids and guess who made the list? On Friday, December 17, from 7:00-9:00pm the REACH Interpretive Center will be hosting the monthly 509Art Salon. The 509Art Salon is a place for local artists and art enthusiasts to get together to meet one another, it is also a place for them to discuss and experience art in Eastern Washington. During the December Salon come and hear about the REACH and the 2011 Mardis Gras event, discuss how to incorporate the Arts community into the event, and learn about Richland’s desire to add art along the Columbia River. The December 509Art Salon will take place at the REACH Interpretive Center in Richland Washington.

Throughout the month there have been many different community events to raise money for different organizations and to make people aware of Breast Cancer. When looking for a place to call home many people look for a city that is great for raising a family. Kiplinger recently released a top 10 list of the greatest American cities for raising a family. In order to make it on the list cities had to have a healthy economy, strong schools, low crime rates, job growth, vibrant local culture, and lots of parks and recreational activities. These are a lot of factors to consider when looking at so many American cities, but they did it and on that list is none other than our local Kennewick Washington.
