Demographics
Sunset View has a population of over 500 students that comprise mostly of Caucasians. The school has over 25 teachers with a student-teacher ratio close to 19:1 which is better than other elementary schools under the Kennewick School District. Almost half of the student population is granted with the reduced lunch prices.
Neighborhood
The Sunset View Elementary School is situated closed to restaurants, theaters, and parks. The Meadow Springs Country Club, Hansen Park, and the Columbia Center Mall are just some of the spots you have easy access to from this school.
Academics And Special Programs
The staff of Sunset View aims to develop and maximize the potential of every student. For a positive experience, they encourage the cooperation of the students’ parents.
The school promotes the “Mustang PRIDE” model which stands for Participation, Respect, Initiative, Determination, and Effort. In this school, these character traits are strongly taught to the students.
Sunset View Elementary School students also performed well on state standardized tests. The special programs offered include Choir, Orchestra, and Marimba.
