Home sales are down in the state of Washington during the second quarter when compared to last year during the same time. The median home sale price this year in the second quarter was $265,100 down 9.2% from last year. These numbers though are improvements from the first quarter. The second quarter increase is attributed to the $8,000 first time home buyer credit. The median prices fell in every county but Yakima, Benton, and Franklin counties. In the Tri-Cities the median sale price of a home is $163,900, up 0.3% from last year. Posted by Colleen Lane on
