Hands In for Hands On Tri-Cities will present the Exploring the Electromagnetic Spectrum event on August 20, 2016. This will be held at the Bechtel National Planetarium at Columbia Basin College which is located at 2600 N 20th Ave., Building D, Pasco, WA. About Exploring the Electromagnetic Spectrum
Exploring the Electromagnetic Spectrum is a gathering that will enlighten the participants how people benefit and learn from light. There will also be a discussion on light pollution and how this problem can be addressed through everybody's cooperation. Learn how to identify a starlight, sunlight and moonlight and be familiar with satellites and certain types of light used for it. Included in the event are activities like making pictures using the sunlight and many other fun tricks involving ultraviolet ray detectors and solar power.
Exploring the Electromagnetic Spectrum is designed for kids 4 to 14 years old. It will run from12:15 p.m. to 1 pm. for kids 4 to 8 years old and 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for kids 9 to 14 years old.
