The Richland Public Library will be holding a 3-day book sale starting this Friday, May 2 at 10AM up to 6PM. The book sale will continue through to Saturday, May 3, from 10AM to 4 PM. Last day for the book sale is Sunday, May 4, and you can grab your books from 1PM to 4PM.

Mid-Columbia Ballet Presents "Hansel and Gretel" in Pasco One of the well-loved children’s classics, Hansel and Gretel, is coming to Pasco through the Mid-Columbia Ballet.

The Mid-Columbia Ballet brings the classic story of siblings Hansel and Gretel on the stage of Chiawana High School’s auditorium on April 19. This ballet presentation has a cast of 70 dancers and actors.

Co-director Joel Rogo promises that the ballet will bring as much joy to the audience as their Christmas ballet, The Nutcracker, did. No less than the CEO of Mid-Columbia Libraries himself, Kyle Cox, will play the wicked witch on his stage debut.

The RSC-AmeriCoprs will be holding the 9th Annual “I Love to Read” Poster Contest during their “Go WILD for Reading” literacy event. The said event will take place at the Richland Public Library on April 1. 

Who Can Join 
Children from K to 5th grade are encouraged to participate. So if you have a talented young artist in your family, have them create a poster with “I Love to Read” as underlying theme. All poster entries must be submitted by the child himself (accompanied by a guardian, of course) at the libraries in Pasco, Keewaydin, Union Street, West Richland, and Benton City Mid-Columbia. Of course, participants can also submit their posters at the Richland Public Library from April 1-3 between 12:30 and 4:15PM. The event is free.

Richland’s Leprechaun Dash for Elementary and Middle School Students Here’s something for elementary and middle school students out there.

Tri Cities Wa presents the Leprechaun Dash, a one-mile fun run to be held in a closed portion of Columbia Park Trail. The fun run is happening on March 15, and it will start and finish near near R.F. McDougall’s and Kimo's.

There is no fee to join the Dash. This is Three Rivers Road Runners’ way to help kids have some fun, get healthy, and stay fit at the same time. However, runners need to register, as their parents’ signatures are needed on the entry forms. Children older than 15 years old are excluded from registering for the Leprechaun Dash.

The antique show is happening on Friday, March 14, from 4PM to 8PM and Saturday, March 15, from 9AM to 5PM. On both days, the Expo Hall of the TRAC Center will be filled with traditional antiques and vintage repurposed treasures, books and paper, linens, jewelry, furniture, pottery, unique home decor, painted and unpainted furniture, and industrial elements.
