Mid-Columbia Ballet Presents "Hansel and Gretel" in Pasco One of the well-loved children’s classics, Hansel and Gretel, is coming to Pasco through the Mid-Columbia Ballet.

“Hansel and Gretel” at Chiawana High School
The Mid-Columbia Ballet brings the classic story of siblings Hansel and Gretel on the stage of Chiawana High School’s auditorium on April 19. This ballet presentation has a cast of 70 dancers and actors.

Co-director Joel Rogo promises that the ballet will bring as much joy to the audience as their Christmas ballet, The Nutcracker, did. No less than the CEO of Mid-Columbia Libraries himself, Kyle Cox, will play the wicked witch on his stage debut.

We all remember Hansel and Gretel as the classic story where children are the heroes facing a larger-than-life villain. It’s a great story that depicts how two siblings outwitted a cunning witch just to save their family. Children (and their parents, too!) will surely enjoy this presentation, with sets and costumes professionally designed by Greg Elder of Seattle.
