Goldendale Real Estate For Sale
Goldendale Washington Homes For Sale and Real Estate
Choosing to live in Goldendale Washington means choosing to live in a city rich with history. In 1872 the first plat was recorded in the region now known as Goldendale Washington, seven years later the city was incorporated. Before Goldendale became a city the area was a watering stop on the Yakima-Okanogan wagon trail. Goldendale is now the largest city in Klickitat County as well as the county seat.
Goldendale is in what is called the rain shadow, caused by the Cascade Mountains 40 miles to the west. Annually the city gets between 8 and 12 inches of rain a year with intermittent thunderstorms late in the summer. Most of the summer is full of sun with temperatures reaching up to 100°F, while winters, which contain most of the precipitation, can get as low as 0°F. Goldendale’s summer weather is great for golfing at the Goldendale Country Club Golf Course or heading out to the Goldendale Observatory State Park.
There are not too many properties that come available, but if there are any, we will post them here.
