Cool Desert Nights
The growing, vibrant, and dynamic city of Richland, Washington—part of the famous Tri Cities area of the state—is renowned as a hub of activity that peaks in summertime with its wide variety of events and festivals, attracting locals, visitors, and tourists from all over the surrounding area and beyond.
These festivals cater to music lovers, car lovers, and sports lovers alike, as well as to other interests.
One of the most popular annual summer events hosted by beautiful Richland is the “Cool Desert Nights” festival. Cool Desert Nights is an exciting, fun-filled, three-day, family-oriented custom and classic car and street rod show and event, showcasing hundreds of different makes and models of classic and vintage cars, rods, motorcycles, trucks, and more. Besides the Show ’n Shine car show—which is interesting and worth the trip all by itself—Cool Desert Nights features cruises, poker runs, live music, night street dances, a pancake breakfast, slow drags, and lots of games and prizes.
The event is all-inclusive, open to all ages and to everybody; you don’t have to be Richland or Tri Cities resident to attend to enjoy the festival. It’s an entire family experience that everyone—man, woman, young, and old—can thoroughly enjoy, and it’s a great community event that brings Richland and all of the Tri Cities area together to celebrate summer, community spirit, and good old-fashioned fun.
