The Wineries of Kennewick
Most wineries in the Kennewick Washington are situated in the Columbia Valley. This valley is exceptionally well-known for its temperature and soil conditions that are perfect for wine-making. Hence, any wine that has been produced from the Columbia Valley will provide an almost perfect taste sensation on your palate! Badger Mountain Vineyard
Badger Mountain Vineyard is one of the most picturesque wineries in the Kennewick area. This winery is surrounded by approximately 70 acres of luscious organic vineyard. The vineyard is situated in the Columbia Valley, and is just a short distance from the Columbia Center. The winery offers a lovely picnic area and, of course, taste-testing, and is open to visitors daily between the hours of 10am and 5pm. The Powers Winery in Kennewick Washington is the sister winery to the Badger Mountain Vineyard winery. The Powers Winery was established 16 years ago, and is still producing some of the finest wines in Kennewick! The winery hosts special wine tasting events, and is considered to be one of the “50 Great U.S. Cabernet Producers.” This winery is also open daily between the hours of 10am and 5pm. Moonlight Sparkling Winery
Another beautiful winery in Kennewick is the Moonlight Sparkling Winery. This winery was established in the year 2001 and, at the time, only produced small amounts of sparkling wine – high quality then already! Each step in the process of wine-making is done by hand at this winery, with traditional usage of the “fermenting wine in bottle” process to get the best carbonation possible. A visit to any of the wineries in Kennewick is sure to be a pleasant experience. Many of the winemakers at the wineries may even invite you to tour the vineyards, laboratories and warehouses! Double the awesome views from the vineyards with the taste of award-winning wines on your tongue! Just be sure to eat something before you head off to the winery – they would not want to send you away drunk!
For those who would like to drink just that “little bit more”, there are tours available for visits to the various wineries in Kennewick. This means that you can sit back, relax, taste to your hearts content, and not worry about driving anywhere! Otherwise, if you would prefer to drive yourself and visit each winery on your own time, then you can contact the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau. The Bureau will provide you with detailed maps to each area winery so that you won’t get lost along the way!
