Everyone is invited to attend this special event lecture as Dr. Kiver will discuss about the history and impact of “Ice Age Floods” and share his 40 years of research on the topic on Saturday, May 21 at Mid-Columbia Library, Kennewick at 7:00 to 9:00 in the evening.
About the Lecture
Doctor Gene Paul Kiver, an Emeritus Geology Professor at the Eastern Washington University and one of the founders of the Ice Age Institute, addresses the failure of Idaho’s glacier dams and the floods from Glacial Lake Missoula that violently transformed the Pacific Northwest landscape. Come learn about our flood-impacted area and its glacial history.
This free public lecture is part of the Community Lecture Series, in partnership with Columbia Basin College, Battelle Northwest, and many other community partners. This program is open for all ages.
