The Planning/Community Development Department of West Richland Wa Real Estate region is responsible, along with City Council and local residents, for ensuring that the City of West Richland is an amazing place to live and grow. These responsibilities include overseeing the physical, socio-economic, and ecological facets of the City, and implementing; the State Growth Management Act (GMA); the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA); and the Shoreline Management Act (SMA). West Richland Wa Real Estate area's Development Department also designs land use research, park planning, and marketing opportunities; and authorizes permit requirements and variance requests. Overall, community improvement is the goal of the Development Department to ensure the health and welfare of all the City's residents, young and old. Current projects initiated and monitored by the West Richland Wa Real Estate area's Development Department are: GESA Credit Union and Yoke's Grocery Store on Paradise Way; West Richland Retail Center and the Kennedy Center Strip Mall on Kennedy Road; the Hindu Community Center on Bombing Range; and Commercial Retail Office Space on W. Van Giesen.
