This year the Port of Kennewick is celebrating its 100th Anniversary and on Saturday, August 15 they are inviting everyone to join on a FREE guided walking tour past residences and businesses in historic downtown Kennewick. Tours will take about two hours from 10:00 in the morning until 12:00 noon and are about one mile in length. So put on your walking shoes, bring your family and friends.
About the Event
Join the History Tours and learn about the origins and development of Kennewick from a small agricultural community and its unique buildings and the people who lived in them. Tom Moak, Port Commissioner and downtown resident, will describe the evolution of downtown Kennewick.
So if you have ever wondered about the JC Penney sign on a prominent corner or wanted to know about the earliest buildings existing and what they used to house, this is your tour! Who knows what or whom you will see?
Tours will start on the steps of the Kennewick First United Methodist Church located at 421 W Kennewick Avenue in Kennewick, Washington. The Downtown Kennewick Walking Tours will be FREE with a reservation. Limit 20 people per tour group. To book please click here.
